For the Two Oceans Aquarium exhibits design, our team of learning specialists, product designs and developers put together four digital installations in an interactive room to help educate visitors on practical ways they can have a positive impact on the environment.

Scanning barcodes at the waste wall installation, an exhibit that resembles ordinary shop shelves, visitors become aware of how their shopping choices could contribute to the production of waste and the filling of landfill sites.

The 3D cityscape projection, connected to touch devices at the energy, provides visitors with the opportunity to experiment with different types of power generation and are challenged to make choices around energy-efficient city planning.
At the aquarium’s exhibit design for biodiversity, visitors are shown how their actions (such as illegal dumping or planting indigenous species) have positive and negative impacts on the ecosystem respectively, specifically the Cape Floral Region.

The water touch wall projection challenges visitors to answer a series of questions in order to stop leaking pipes and dripping taps in an animated plumbing system. The goal is to fix as many leaks simultaneously so that the water savings tank fills up to the top. It will require multiple visitors to work as a team to win the game!
